Sun Mountain Design Group evolved from the architectural division of Art C. Klein Construction. For over 50 years, the division has designed residential, commercial, and civil projects of new construction and historic preservation prevalently in Colorado Springs and throughout the State of Colorado. Sun Mountain Design Group operates independently and in a Design/Build capacity with its Construction Management counter-part, Art C. Klein Construction.
Kyle Hanson, AIA, Principal Architect
Kyle is a licensed architect dedicated to the design vision of his clients. He began his professional career in New York City, where he worked at multiple award-winning design firms for nearly a decade. His experience working on high-performance structures has helped facilitate luxury developments in major cities throughout the U.S., including NY, Washington DC, Houston, and San Francisco. Kyle lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Gabrielle, their son, Xavier, and their dog, Luca.
Claire Kalman, Architect, LEED AP
Claire is a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience and LEED accreditation.
Having lived in Colorado Springs since she was a child, Claire has a comprehensive understanding of local jurisdictional requirements. She has contributed to projects of various sizes and scopes, including large commercial development, corporate-standard prototypes, and public schools. In her free time, Claire enjoys traveling and the variety of outdoor pursuits that Colorado has to offer.
Sarrah Peariso, Architect
Sarrah is a licensed architect in California and Colorado. In her 20+ career, she has worked on a diverse range of projects including both residential and commercial, specializing in high-end custom residential designs. She is dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions while working cohesively within project constraints. Sarrah holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC). Beyond her professional endeavors, Sarrah enjoys time with her family and friends and enjoys the beauty of living in Colorado.
Eric Gleckler, Architectural Designer
Throughout his 40-year career Eric has served in multiple roles within the design and construction professions. He is a Colorado native with a demonstrated history of local building codes and served as an adjunct professor at Pikes Peak Community College for 14 years. He is passionate about architectural design and has an advanced understanding of building systems.
Ron O’Neill, Architectural Designer
Ron has a diverse design background, including civil construction projects and historic preservation. He is the most tenured member of the Group and has successfully maintained long term relationships with local engineers and clients. Ron is proficient in technical detailing and architectural research. He is blessed with a lovely wife, Samantha and is a father of five.

Bruce Barr, Architect
Bruce was the Leader of the architectural division at Art C. Klein for over 30 years, paving the way for the success of Sun Mountain Design Group. He is a Past President of the local Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) chapter and an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Bruce’s extensive knowledge of architecture and construction continues to be a resource for the Group.

David Hentschel, Architectural Designer
Dave is an award-winning home designer with a long career in Colorado Springs. His works have contributed to the Group’s distinguished reputation in the construction community.
