This Day Care Center is only the first phase of a planned community development, serving the town of Stratton and its surrounding areas. Phase two will incorporate a Recreation Center and Sporting facility. In coordination with City representative members, preliminary design presentations were prepared by CSU students to garner interest for the project. Sun Mountain DG fused CSU’s proposed program with the realities of metal building construction to create a schematic design. Our highest design priority was to provide natural daylight on opposite sides of each room. As such, the building implements lean-to style framing and clerestory windows. This schematic design was then used for initial cost estimating and on-going State funding applications.
