The Colorado Springs campus of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is situated within leased office premises of a development dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and the elderly. With NAMI’s notable growth in services and clientele over recent years, alongside successful fundraising efforts, they were able to expand into adjacent vacant office space. This expansion initiative encompassed a comprehensive renovation of both their existing space and the new annex, culminating in the creation of an expanded reception area, additional private offices, a dedicated staff break area, and a generously sized meeting room. Notably, this meeting room serves as a versatile venue for both NAMI events and external agency gatherings, enhancing collaboration and community engagement. Notably, the entire project was funded through grants secured from multiple agencies within the organization’s service area, underlining NAMI’s commitment to enhancing mental health services in the community.
